Battery might not last as long due to more resistance.

It's so little extra resistance that it really won't make that much difference unless your gun has been upgraded.

Just fit a deans on there, if you are tight fisted like moi then you can always recycle the deans if still in good condition/making good contacts etc.....

You "might" gain aprox 7% response & maybe 1rps over stock but is once less resistance point to get warm when semi spamming

The only reason a connector would "get warm when spamming" is if it's not making correctly and arcing. To be honest I really don't think you can quantify percentage differences in something like this without measuring it. I'd stay away from throwing out figures willy nilly...

I said might but in fact you are actually ADDING more resistance by fitting additional joins - from adapter and one of the WORST ones - small tamiya so in effect it is a smidge whisper worse than just using tamiya to tamiya. Nothing bad will happen but is still additional resistance

Yes, you're adding more resistance. You're right. But in reality on an average, stock gun it'll make three parts of f*ck all difference unless the connector is of such poor quality that you probably shouldn't be using it at all. Yes, changing the adaptor on the gun wiring to a Deans connector and going straight in IS the better way to do it but let's try and keep a modicum of perspective, shall we?

Also worth bearing in mind that a poorly soldered Deans connector will actually present MORE resistance than a properly crimped Tamiya connector. I agree that the Tamiya connector is the lowest of the low when it comes to contact resistance, reliability and the good old wiggle test but in terms of the amount of additional resistance we're talking about in the case of the OP it really doesn't make much difference.

I agree with all you say and will leave it there
