I have to agree, before you put it up just try and remove it? its fine when you have the money but when you are £50 short and can't buy the inner barrel, you would have wished you didn't buy the other upper as well

What a load of trash talk. I've been saving for the past few years from work and then I get, "You have to work for things in life >0-o>."

Overreacting bunch.

I have to agreed with frizzle. Overreacting much? But on the flip side it is a waste just because you need to remove some paint and start over.

To be fair, he showed my some of the pictures, it is horrendous lol

I can appreciate why you'd have a 'f*ck-it' attitude considering you only painted it in the first place to appease people farting on unnecessarily about the law.

I'd say put it to one side for a week or two, and i'm sure the frustration will pass enough for you to feel it worthwhile spending a couple hours renovating the receiver back to black

Tbh, I like the JP much more than the MUR, I only got the MUR for noveske authenticity all over... but I understand what you're saying. I'll see if it goes or not for a T1, if not, well... not sure where I can renovate it. I'll send you pics.

it's a £150 receiver set right? How much is the JP one? I've been looking at pro paint jobs and costs about £50-£100 for receiver. And that could be black or it painted in some cool camo or similar

Or, if you make a thread in tech help asking for guidance on how to repair the paint job i'm sure you'll get all the tips you need and only need max £20 of paint and couple hours elbow-grease :)

It doesnt look that bad. Most of the scratches would be hidden. Its the dings on the metal that look bad...

The g&p set was £115 iirc, jp is around £130 new, don't forget the 12% discount for liking the fb page.

you could have that MUR receiver back to looking like new in less than an hour for about £15. Get some oven cleaner on there to remove the purple paint and then give it 2 thin coats with halfords camo black.

as much as I appreciate everyone's advice... I don't think it would solve the issue with the dents on the metal...

U
Undieing_Lust
What were you doing to even get the dents?

A
AK47frizzle
Some were accidental whilst assembling and at my school's tech department. Some whilst rustling in my bag with other metals and some whist removing the paint

Miliput to fill the dents Frizz. I literally shredded my G&P barrel with wrenches and a vice trying to get the flash hider off. no more than 10 minutes to fix it. Quick run with a file to remove burr, miliput liberally applied then scraped off leaving the holes filled. Layer of black paint later looks like a brand new barrel.

So, didn't get a T1 but sold it to Mr Monkey Nuts for the equivalent of a new T1.
