Windows Movie Maker is much more straight forward than Vegas. It isn't half bad if you aren't looking to make ultra high end videos either.

WMM is easily the most intuitive platform to use it's just the lack of features which are dissapointing if you're wanting to do anything high-end. Then again, it's free so you can't really complain. An enhanced sort of version but using a similar timeline / drag and drop design would be great. Or more downloadable transitions / effects or something.

I'm pretty sure Ed uses Final Cut Pro X. Might be a mac only thing...
