nope, not what I've seen. guess with hi/mid caps the idea is that you don't reload during the game.

thou, suppose the old style ones are quiet, basically just a tube and a stick.

Ok, I don't think I will need to reload my mags ingame anyway but I do like to be prepared.

The other solution I can think of is to carry the loader empty, as bags of BBs are basically silent if rolled tight.

What I do is carry 6 130rd mags, plus a 470rd speedloader, full to the brim, so there's no room for BBs to move, so no rattling. Then when I've emptied 3½-4 mags, I fill them up, using all the BBs in the speedloader, so it's empty, and still doesn't rattle.

how to solve the problem: bring 20 mid caps with you.

lol i've got 8 mids, but mainly because they are PMAGs which I don't think will be around much longer.

I will have another go at packing more BBs into my speedloader - Fortunately I'm not trigger happy I just like to have contingency :)

I a couple of king arms pistol size ones, not noticeably loud

Yeah I was wondering if they would be better, I think most of the noise is because it is made out of flimsy plastic.

What is the loading rod bit like on the KA ones? I get the feeling my current one will snap pressing against the top of a pouch.

I have 3 of the KA 200rnd ones (because it took 3 to reload 14 real caps in one sitting) and they're really good, they're hardly bomb proof but they've lasted me about 3 years so far, they're fairly rugged but they're reliable.

I'd rather have them over the faux pistol/M4 mag style speed loaders.

I will check them out, the rod thing on the TM one feels like it will snap if it has any sideways pressure on it.

Plus the faux m4 mag is made out of a yoghurt pot or something.

Tm pistol leaders are very good too, my preference over KA tbh, just don't have any left- I'm forever losing speed leaders

I remember using the old style loading rods, they weren't exactly portable but made fairly decent peashooters. When I got back into Airsoft I thought people meant they carried them around with them and thought that was a little strange lol.

I like the old rod speedloaders cos you could fit them through MOLLE webbing and they're nice and compact. No rattle either. Only good for low-caps though. I think I will buy one of those fabric bags for holding lots of rounds, looked into making one myself but not sure where I'd find the bottle cap things.

The ones i've seen seem to just use drinks bottles cut near top of the neck. I thought about just using one of the plastic bags BBs come in, rolling it up with a couple thousand BBs in it then cutting open a corner and closing it with an elastic band or hair band. Haven't got round to actually trying it but the main issue I can see is it not being so easy to fill up. Obviously it would also look a bit cheap :)
