I guess it's a choice between convenience and getting what you want. I'd do a Pencott Greenzone loadout if it was easier to come by.

It does but doing OD and having a random coloured belt looks ridiculous :P

Yeah my plan was to mix it with black and potentially forest or ranger green. I wouldn't be keen on using a full OD loadout as it is used by the Israelis - Aside from the fact I think it would be a bit boring.

It's also on Flecktarn.co.uk

It was more vests and belts I was thinking of, you also seem limited to trousers without built in kneepads which I am not keen on considering the price.

Although to be honest that is more of an excuse to try and stop me spending money lol :)

Look at uktactical, they just got in some warrior DCS plate carriers in OD

If you want crye style built in kneepads, check hueys.co.uk

Thanks for the info, I'm still concerned about not being able to recognise that I had been hit if I was to wear a PC. Although those DCS do look pretty tidy...

Youd be fine, you'd hear it if you didn't see or feel it, I've been using them on and off since just after they were released :)

ah damnit I really want one now lol. How do the loops on the bottom attach to a belt, are they popper release catches?

M_P
M_P
Theyre to help you grip the front to open it up for getting in and out :)

Oh right, so I'd want to use a yoke designed to go under a plate carrier I take it?

M_P
M_P
Yes, go for one as low a profile as you can, the DCS works brilliantly with a belt on too, cant recommend them enough- just bought my third :)

Thanks for the advice mate, I think I will see how I get on with just a belt to start with.

Just FYI, WAS do a low profile yoke specifically for use under a plate carrier. The DCS is designed to work with their PLB or Frag belts both of which can be used with their low profile harness. They're not available in OD yet but a whole range IS coming.

They only do the yoke in MC though (possibly CT too) If they havent done it in a-tacs after over a year I imagine it'll be a while before they do it in the new OD.

Their OD line should be out around March/April- cant come soon enough :D

The frag belt doesn't attach to a yoke, but the PLB does. The frag belt is designed to sit higher on the hips I think, the shape of it stops it from sliding down I guess.

But no, not being a mong.

This time ;)
