Hopefully you can both get it sorted out amicably. @SquashyTundra You should always send stuff tracked buddy as it's pretty much your only safety net as a seller and have the buyer cover the costs of postage in your listing. @Lee lockett Always, Always, ALWAYS use PayPal Goods and Services as this is pretty much your only safety net as a buyer, You don't need any Paypal account to use PayPal FYI. Always good to request to have it tracked if the seller isn't already sending it tracked, even if it costs an extra tenner or so! Pretty much all sellers will send stuff tracked as default due to it being their main safety net anyway. It takes all the stress and guess work out of the equation for when your parcel will be with you and piece of mind that it was sent in the first place! I always record my full unboxing as well and I strongly suggest that everyone else does too. If a scammer has sent me an empty parcel to provide tracking info so it all looks legit. It won't be a "Your word against his" you'll have clear cut video evidence of the parcel you received and will be an easy and quick decision for PayPal to give you your money back.

No still not arrived it's a got to be a scam.He has now sent me a tracking number.after he has sent it.i don't no how that works,I asked for a tracking number when he said he first sent it but he didn't have 1.Then now he has 1 bit dodgy if you ask me.the tracking number says it been stopped so they can check the box.its got to be a scam what do you think

If he has a tracking number he must have a receipt, ask him to post a picture of said receipt. 

Good christ you are such a melt. You literally have Royal Mail evidence that they have it and are performing restricted / prohibited items checks at the National Centre? Get a life man that shit is way beyond my control. Only you could chat with with Royal Mail and be told they’re doing security checks on a gun coming your way and STILL think it’s a scam.

Do t start giving me shit pal.i have payed you and still not received anything that's my point.i have checked with a friend that works for them he said you can't sent a parcel untracked then change it to tracked.its been over 2 weeks now you are taking the piss out off me.

You’ve got the Royal Mail information that it’s under security checks, give it a rest. And as it stands right now, you haven’t paid a penny, because that money has been taken away again.
 

Given you’ve had the money refunded to your bank and you have proof that the gun is under security checks en route to your address I’d say you’re in a much better position than I am. 

The money might have been taken out off your bank but I have not had anything back so ye I have paid for the gun because I am still 350 pound out off pocket.no matter what you say I have still lost money.you can't tell me you wouldn't feel like I do if it was you.i brought a gun off this site the other week with no problem what so ever.

I would like to think if it was me in your position I would be able to infer that I’m not being scammed from Royal Mail telling me “We have your parcel but we think it has some restricted contents, we’re going to investigate and then send it your way after”. 

It's easy to say that until you are in that situation.we will see when I turns up

Hope their was no gas or batteries in the parcel if it’s being opened.
