    In my loft I have the first 50 issues of that build your own robot. Never even been opened. Had them for at least 20 years?

    Would have been a pretty sad old robot compared to todays.

    I think my plan was to keep them for something to do in my older years. 

    I didn't know that it would run into a lot more issues than that!

    Probably got enough parts to make a limp along bot though lol

    Great weekend at national airsoft festival.

    Fantastic weather but cold at night. had the fire going so that was good.

    Games were good. Plenty of walking and stalking. Only two players were stretchered off with broken bones ☹

    I took a nasty fall during night game but just bruised and couple of cuts.

    Met some smashing people from home and abroad and had a lot of laughs.

    Caught up with a forum member (shadowfacex) great guy to talk to. Turns out he tagged along with us to form a fire team 4 years ago. 

    Overall on the weekend bravo team lost but that don't matter none cause in my mind the whole weekend was a winner? and I got seven good kills so bonus  lol.

    Here's to next year?

    Genuinely how did you manage to have a fire? Last couple of times I was at Ground Zero they were determined that even a single mk5 going off would make the entire woods go up in flames.....

    Yes that's right.No hot burning pyro allowed in game areas but open fires are allowed in the camping zones so long as they are in a container and off the ground.

    Oh and it's a no no to pinch the estates logs lol.

    Cars packed,kit sorted,guns ready and I have patiently sat and listened to the do's and dont's from her indoors( it's a small price to pay) YES! I will change my underwear...sweetness.? NO I won't drink too much...

    Early start for the national airsoft festival in the morning ?

    It's a great weekend.plenty of gear for sale loads of food outlets,huge marquee for ?,live band,big screen.

    On site shop.

    Great atmosphere.

    The missions can be challenging but game play is on the whole good.

    You play at your own pace,mine is stop lol I'm here for the social aspect with a bit of bb slinging thrown in lol.

    Yeah give it a go. I think you will both love it.?

    I've just finished setting up camp so off to sign in and chrono?

    I’ve been to 8 on the trot but I won’t be going this yr , I do enjoy the game side obviously but it’s the ‘other stuff’ I like the most and to be fair what ever the game ‘plan’ is it always goes to rat shit by lunchtime and descends in to a fecking huge death match(which is absolutely fine by me !?) but ultimately it’s the whole social atmosphere I really go for and seeing as there’s no way on earth I’m gonna be hanging around that many people in that small an area in the current pandemic so yup it’s a no show for me ? this year say’lla’vie. ?

    I completely agree,it's great to mobilise into action with great intent and planning, only for it all to fall apart due to exhaustion,(2018),and my compass reading skills lol. 

    And as you say it's the whole social atmosphere that is everywhere. Sitting round the dying embers of a camp fire laughing and joking with the strangers next plot along at 2am and then at 3am when you are in your tent,hollering out "SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU FUCJKING IDIOTS!!!( spelling due to being inebriated)?

    As you say though,a.lot of people but I will be taking no chances.?

    Will you be going back though? 

    Maybe 2022?

    How can a reputable,recommend garage have my car for two weeks and then say "sorry we can't find what is causing fault,you should take it to main dealers"

    Then there is fly(no pun intended although I think it has potential lol)tipping! Now that could certainly hurt especially mattresses ?

    @ak2m4 I do a lot of work with Nio, and for the amount of car you get for the price is pretty good. They've just entered Europe properly so hopefully they'll make a RHD version.

    @rj1986 heard a lot about NIO, been following Xpeng for a few years as well, early days for sure.  What gets me is the UK government bangs on about being the need to switch to cleaner fuels. go electric but the costs of the offerings from the traditional players are quite high.  My mate in US just bought a new Tesla Model 3 for $35000, and he said he can claim back around $5000 through tax schemes etc, so around £21,500.  Same car here in the UK £42,500.  Ok it's not a great comparison, different countries, different economy etc but jezzzzz

    Wow! What a great first day back at ucap greenops.

    What more can you ask for than great weather,great players and a cracking hit count!

    I'm home now,showered and fed and walking in the shape of a cripple but man it was worth all the pain.

    First outing for the specna Arms se-05 and have to say what a amazing performer ?. 0.28s were flying straight and true which accounted for my hit rate.

    Played the whole  day on one 2000mah 7.4 lipo. Mostly played semi cause to be honest full auto was a bit noisy?

    But all in all well pleased and a great day. Thanks ucap?

    Anywho I've got a plan to get my monies worth.

    I shall make sure I get there last which means I shall be blocking exit.

    Then after last game I shall hide out in woods which means nobody can exit car park,still with me?, which means they will have to come looking for me,unarmed,but as per rules, eye pro on.so I reckon I can get a good hour extra play before they overpower me! ?

    I would never class anything I sell as brand new but I have sold plenty which I've literally ran a few mags through in the garden then put back in the box. I think it's important to differentiate between that and something which has been skirmished with fifty times.

    I don't get what's supposed to be appeal... I buy it to play with it, not to hang it on the wall - saying you fired it once in the garden doesn't change anything. If anything it may come with some defect you weren't even aware off but now it's gonna be my problem...
