I’ve got a shit load of them in tan and black at first they where pretty crap miss feeding all the time but after having a think I discovered if I filed down the little spring loaded BB retainer at the top of the feed tube they now all work absolutely fine .

i used a jewelers half round file to do it so it gave the retainer a slight concave profile instead of straight across .  And a little squirt of silicone every now and again . ?

I've seen generally positive things, both online and from talking to folks that were using them at a site I attended between lockdowns they fit and feed as their genuine counterparts (though if memory serves they do have a different follower). They didn't feel quite as nice, but it's a rigid enough design for it not really matter. I'm always wary of clear plastic because I just assume its cheap and flimsy but have yet to see anything to demonstrate it's a weak point. The risk with the repro things generally being QC/production processes may not be as consistent across batches as they are with the genuine article. Ultimately comes down to the price difference where you are I guess ?‍♂️.

The genuine ones are a) extremely hard to find and b) super duper expensive (€30 per mag, EPM-1s are in the 35 region)..

Since I installed a Maxx unit and I have another one coming (TE clone from aliexpress because I'm poor), I noticed that my G&G midcaps don't lock in and need to be literally shoved in the magwell. Lonex flash mags need a tiny bit more force but they lock just fine and I suspect it's due to the Maxx feed tube being a wee bit thicker.

I could revert back to the stock specna chamber but the consistency and range improvement is on another level, so I'm keeping the hop.

To be honest I don't use midcaps enough to justify EPMs (I essentially never play cqb and high caps are more efficient in carrying bbs while limiting the amount of shit I need to carry). I do want to use them more now that I have a proper Odin though.

Saw them on taiwangun while browsing for mp5 high caps (also found some really good looking midcaps but I'm not sure they'll fit in my pdw) and a set of 5 is €30 (as much as a single EPM or two G&G mags), so I thought I'd gather some information before buying them.

No idea if anywhere convenient for you to order them/TG carries them but assuming you’re generally happy with the fit of the Lonex flash mags it might be worth looking into their mid caps (granted the dimensions may be different). Zero first hand experience so worth doing some digging if you deem it worth doing, but I’ve heard good things about them.

FWIW I used a Maxx chamber with EPMs in my old P* Mk18 (if memory serves I used a G&P receiver set), and that all married up together nicely.

How about specna midcaps instead?

I just tested the two high caps I have and they went in flawlessly (they also locked into the odin without hassle, whereas the G&Gs require an uncomfortable amount of force).

EDIT nevermind, rarer than hen's teeth for some reason..
