depends on wether he's doing a good job or not.

r-hop is a pain in the ass, much easier to just use a maple leaf offering.

He's using Psionic Upgrades (italian company that presented the R-Hop as the latest technology super duper upgrade, when in reality it was already around 10 years ago) pre cut patches, he has just to glue them, slap a flat rubber on top and replace the tensioner. Afaik he hasn't installed anything yet and for our testing he used a pre assembled set (patch, barrel and hop unit) from PU themselves.

I reckon €85 is a bit too much when the kit costs 20 and can be made for pennies and some silicone tubing. Take into account umbrella armory too, they offer a Maxx hop unit, a nice Prommy barrel and the R-Hop fitted and tested for €160. https://umbrellaarmory.com/collections/r-hopped-barrels-1/products/umbrella-pdi-6-05mm-r-hop-inner-barrel?variant=29676572704881 (breaking that down it's €70 for the chamber alone, the PDI 6.05 goes for roughly €100, so the patch + installation is basically free)

Still, my €11 AEG MR-Hop seems to be giving the same exact results in sending .32s way over there at a fraction of the price (while still retaining most of my sanity because lol @gluing shit on the barrel).

yeah, from what i'm aware of umbrella's stuff is as good as it gets.

my m4 runs the maxx/pdi 6.01 and ml 50° and i'm interested (although maybe not $185 interested) if there's much if any improvement headroom left to make.

really when it gets to this level there's so many factors going on that you really have to focus on making perfect, for example you're pulling the barrel every game to make sure you've cleaned it thoroughly.

If you ask me, both him & umbrella armoury are con artists lol.

Thank god for slang dictionaries, was becoming retarded trying to understand the word "con" lol.

My local retailer/tech, absolutely. When I heard the price I was like "oh, right, nice pile of bollocks right there"

UA? mhm... maybe... I mean they do use pretty expensive parts to begin with and I haven't seen anything from them irl yet, so can't comment..

just looked into what an r hop is and noticed my rk74 already has one fitted ?

most of my judgement of umbrella armouries stuff comes from dutchthehooligans vids, a shill he might be but it's pretty evident the hardware he's using does the job (and  you generally see the folk he's shooting call the hit)

of course when you get to that end of the market you're deep into the diminishing returns curve for performance, i'd say most folk interested in extracting that much performance from their pews are probably more inclined to do the work themselves.

Heh. in fact I'm not going to do a R-Hop when I have those ML rubbers available, it's just not worth the time/hassle when the performance increase is negligible.

Now they're going bonkers on the Titan too. I love how they're discovering shit that's been on the market for quite a while lol, can't wait to know how much they're going to sell it at, probably in the €200 region for the basic.

I fitted an sugru hop a couple of years ago that's still shooting well after 10000 plus bbs through it.

if I'm honest the best/least hassle I have found for optimum performance in an Aeg has been my tru-hop bucking.

Tru-Hop = ML MR-Hop btw = Flamingo.

Small differences in contact patch dimensions, but they're essentially the same thing.
