Classifieds Rule 5 updated

Due to the increase in scammers, and to add better protection for buyers, any sale or swap advert in the Classifieds must include one photo with your AFUK username and a date. Effective from 01  December 2024.

Below is the updated rule 5:

All sales and swaps advertisements must have a picture, all pictures must be taken by the seller. Do not use a retailers pictures - take your own.  There must be at least one photo with a piece of paper showing your AFUK forum name and date next to the item(s) for sale/swap (this updated rule is effective from 01/12/2024). Do not use Photoshop or other editing software to include your username and date, this is what scammers do and will result in adverts being deleted from the Classifieds.  Using photos with different usernames from other forums, and links to other forum photos, is no longer acceptable.

Hi. Just wondering if I'm allowed to post/sell some of my items here. I'm from Manila, Philippines. What I plan to sell are just gears.
Just want to make sure it's okay before I post anything.

Hi, the forum doesnt allow retailers/business traders to sell via the classifieds, they are purely for secondhand sales between private individuals.
But we do allow you to put ONE thread up in the "places to buy" section, its not intended for further posts or chit chat, but you can list the kind of stuff you sell, as well as contact details or a website link.
As has been said, nearly all the users on here are uk based, & while many do purchase from abroad, it's usually from the larger hk retailers or similar, if you're a small operation with little or no proven feedback, you may struggle a bit here.

And gears of all types and ratios are so easy to find here that no-one's going to buy from an unproven, unknown source halfway around the world.
