WGC

GBBR replicas end up being like £100+ more in the UK, I am a big believer in buying local but when you're saving literally hundreds of pounds it's hard to want too. Hell, the NorthEast FAMAS is £880 from the UK, with import fees included it's roughly £160 cheaper from WGC and even less from ProAct no doubt (WGC shipping is bloody high)
Often when you include import fees and taxes the savings aren't so great. Also you're paying for the piece of mind that if something does go wrong you're not stuck with a very expensive paperweight

Unfortunately I find the only people in the U.K. who stock the parts that I need is Firesupport, I did check them first, but out of stock.

Sadly for the UK retailers, that's rarely the case.

Another example... £600 for a VFC M16A1 from HPA-UK, with import fees from ProAct it was £472.61 a few weeks back, total cost. That's £127.39 saved.

Whilst yes, this is true - Buying from the UK does mean it's easier to return faulty goods, ProAct are very good with returns. Do I personally think paying £100 more for this luxury is worth it? No. Do others? Most likely

By no means trying to argue though, I completely get your points and do agree with it to a certain a point, especially if the savings is like £30 or something. I am just tight and would much prefer to save as much money as possible with some slight risk taken 😂

Thanks, the only problem with them is the delivery fee, e-Express the same as WGC but 340 HKD compared to 124 HKD. A very kind member on here as offered to order it for me from WGC if I wanted. To be honest I’am very disappointed with WGC, ordered from them several times so didn’t expect problems. It seems they have decided to not send anything to the U.K. without UKARA, so why was it not on their website or have information during the ordering process.

Tbh it's probably because they assume pretty much everyone importing in the UK has UKARA or a pal with UKARA.

Like you have, shortly before you gave them money to order from them anyway.

From the attitude of the emails from them you think I had messed them round, in truth it was them that messed me around, I ordered in good faith, knowing nothing of the policy change. It was my 6th order as well, so such much for loyalty to customers.

Didn’t give them chance, i claimed from PayPal as soon as I saw what they were doing, just in case they tried. I would hope they wouldn’t try as it was them that cancelled, but you never know.
