The 'What have you just bought' Thread

Welp, graduated from my local airsoft site and got a TM Hi Capa, ohhhh the money begging to leave my account to build it out

M16A2 project arrived from @Cosmologii yesterday, spent yesterday afternoon and this morning cleaning and regreasing etc. Parts to fix some of the issues like the valve knocker, bolt catch etc are enroute as well as the remaining DNA steel parts but couldn’t resist putting it together for a family photo.

Definitely going to be the middle child (favourite) for a while!

ICS Clear M4 from Platoon, honestly for £99 blown away by the quality from a gun thats been sat on their shelves for 12 years. Wired to deans from factory! And the ICS split gearbox.

Probably going to route some lighting along the gearbox for a nice glowy fun gun.

I wouldn't usually even look at a clear gun, but the idea of one with strobing led's throughout the clear bits sounds funny af, just imagine using it at ucap tunnels or similar🤣

You may... or not, remember this Sicario build...

Built from a TM MP5 AEG I happened to have handy but the ris/ras handguard was loose as it was for a WE MP5, so...
as of today I have a WE gbb MP5 & it's rock solid, a bit spicy on 0.25's but nothing an N-pas can't fix.

p.s. tempted to jazz up the rail but not clone correct so will maybe do the bejazzle if I use it in game.
p.s.s an H&K 3 point sling is in on cards now.

Headed down to Splatoons car boot sale today as a seller, ended up spending more than I made… typical.

Came back with a very nice M1 Helmet (Bottom one) with a Westinghouse repurposed WW2 Liner (Repurposed for Vietnam). Shell is also WW2 period, with a front seam and swivel bales but has been repainted, either for Vietnam or by a reenactor/collector later on. Curiously it has a “Follow Me” stripe barely visible at the rear however I’m unsure of the authenticity of it. It cost me £40 which is by far the cheapest M1 I’ve ever bought but I am glad to now have both a front and rear seam shell in my collection.

It just goes to show you don't always have to be at militaria markets to pick up some history

Did you have to do anything with the hole for the nut on the stock? The nut has a spot sticking out and the stock doesn't have a hole for it compared to the plastic stock so I'm not able to fit this is on my set. Tried to make one...
