Selling advice

Hi all, tying to get rid of my airsoft guns, posted a few adverts based upon appraisals up but not been able to sell. Are they over priced or do I ask too much with the UKARA.
Not into airsofting so I dont know the terminology etc, but in my line of work I cannot be seen to break the law, but wondered if my insistance on UKARA is preventing me selling - if not I'll drop these to sell, if not they'll have to be destroyed. lolsing my job isnt worth £180 obviously.

I did have a boneyard SA80 for sale as well but I probably had about 50 people waste my time with it - what gives ?
I had it advertised elsewhere and it was a real eye opener.

Honestly, most likely. I have a UKARA membership number however I wouldn't want to be providing it to Joe Bloggs on the internet, much like the proof of age. However I do appreciate your concern and wanting to follow standards.

The TM Desert Eagle retails for £150 (https://www.surplusstore.co.uk/tokyo-marui-desert-eagle.html)
Generally preowned sales are encouraged to be listed at 60 - 70% of retail based on condition, I'd say your price is in the middle mark however they're not as sought after as say a TM Hi-Capa which can mean sitting on items for a bit.

The KSC Glock 18 is actually kind of cool to see as they're relatively old now, sadly not as good as a WE or TM and they typically have poor gas efficiency. It might be struggling to sell because people just aren't aware of the brand, I can see more of a collector being into it though. That being said I don't think the price is terrible for it either

The other issue is your posts are over a month old, you haven't "bumped" them so they're essentially lost at the bottom of the classifieds. Try bumping them to the front, it might help out. You can bump every 7 days

It's also just gone past Christmas and no doubt most of us are all skint right now

Unfortunately the second hand market in airsoft can be very hit and miss.

The usual rule of thumb is to start at roughly 60-70% of the lowest new price. A quick look on Google shows them going for £165 so you're in the right area for the Desert Eagle.

The glock is a little harder to price up as they haven't been available new for some time and tbh they weren't ever the best performing glock on the market. Also they're not compatible with TM glocks so parts could be a problem You're probably going to have to knock the asking price down unless you find a collector who specifically wants that make.

Asking for ukara/site membership is a good thing imo but legally the seller must be sure the buyer is going to use it for airsoft. For example I was selling a pistol years ago and the buyer didn't have ukara or site membership but I was happy to sell to them as they were a long term member of that forum and had posted many in game photos.

Last of all it's January so many people will be counting the pennies after Christmas

If your appealing to the collector market your probably going to come across non UKARA potential buyers, as most collectors I know don’t skirmish. Other defences are available.

As above, as it happens I don't have a desert eagle so I'll send you an offer once I add this comment.
Can't see your L85 tho so send me the details by pm or add it to the classifieds.

If an item doesn't sell either keep bumping the add or lower the price a little until it sells, don't sell yourself short tho, you might get lowball offers... decide what your cut off point is (including postage & fees) and stick to it, but if you need shot of it, getting 50% in a buyers market might be better than trying every week for a month or longer.

Bare in mind tho... most items will find a buyer eventually (there are exceptions to this rule).
