What the heck has happened to tge forum all my trade points gone cant find my posts cant see pics of the gbbr or pistols why has this happened and who thought this was a good idea to wipe all members trades and sales points kinda defeats the object of the forum we had cant say im impressed

there was literally a big red banner up for like 3 weeks saying the forum is migrating due to the old server discontinuing. proffink warned us about what will and won't be transferred. You can't be mad at him for that.

Also, feedback points will eventually be earned back over time. it's not the end of the world.

the old forum will still be there for a while, take a screenshot of your feedback points if u want to use it as reference for future sales.

I can't say I'm impressed you thought it was intentional.

It's probably worth keeping up to speed on the fact that the admin is looking to restore feedback scores if possible.

Obviously these are the new forums. Lots of data has been wiped, most of it has been retained. As the forum software itself has changed pretty substantially there will be differences.

If you encounter any specific issues please post them here. The intention has been to keep functionality as close to the old AF-UK as possible, so if something is missing please do make a note here and hopefully it can be resolved.

I raised same issue, it’s taken me over 8 years to get to 138 feedback …… gone

While it's not perfect, I did screenshot my sales feedback.

You were given enough warning, you could have done the same.

No an ideal solution but you still can do screenshots of your feedback as the old forums are still accessible.

to everyone else, yes its a pita, but the original forum software was no longer fit for ANY purpose, literally the people/company behind it stopped working with it & pretty much became impossible to contact, & as issues became apparent there were no fixes or patches available.
Proffrink did his very best & tried to sort it, but it quickly became obvious that drastic changes were the only way forward, which he's done on his own time & out of his own pocket, so some people should be thanking him, instead of bitching, as if what's happened was a personal attacks on their "good name" lol.
There are other selling sites, most are absolutely shite, or dead as the proverbial , but they're there for you if you feel afuk, on its first day of a fresh start, is no longer for you or you havent got the patience to give it a chance.
Mind the door doesn't hit you in the arse on your way out.

As has been noted, the site had to be moved and, inevitably, some data was lost. We were warned about this in advance and also informed that the data would be available for a while.

The classifieds are only one element of this site; it is at least as much of a forum as it is a selling site. For many of us the forums are the more important element as they are a treasure trove of knowledge, along with some great banter.

We all owe Proffrink our thanks for investing time and money in keeping this site going; if he hadn't done so, it would have collapsed.

Maybe some people should stop whining and appreciate what has been done.

The forum moving to new software has been known about for a couple of months with multiple posts and a banner at the to of the page, it's not anyone else's fault you don't pay attention.

Funny how the loudest moaning is from the people who rarely contribute to the forum and only show up to flog their kit. The upgrade was announced for weeks, but if you only treat the place as a free sales platform, of course you wouldn’t see it on the community forum part. Complaining about changes to a service you don’t support, and only use to make money is a bit rich.
