I think it's often a cover for people importing guns to sell as new. I've bought a a RIF from one of the more prolific ones of these, and it came fully packaged with the plastic protector still under the selector. "Used it for a couple of game days," sure yeah.
Especially since they're usually models that are a bit tricky to source parts for or fix.

Most Airsoft gases get nowhere near their rated PSI, some don't even report what temperature said PSI was measured at.
It's much more vibes based in reality sadly.
Abbey gas is full of silicone oil bud, at least according to every sales listing I can find plus personal experience.
