    Sprayed my gun with OD Krylon, should I put a cost of something over to protect it? If so is there anything in Halfords that would do the job and mix ok with the krylon?

    if you do decide to go down the laqure route now or in the future spray some of the colour you are using on something. Let it dry then spray your laqure. Sometimes certain prducts react badly with each other and halfords don't really say wether some of their products are enamel or acyllic based.

    The issue with ANY rattle can lacquer but particularly Halfords (which is all water based/borne acrylic now by law) is the amount of solvent in it. It's the solvent that may react with the paint. The trick is to use lots of thin layers and allow the solvent to fume off before adding more. That said, I've used Krylon with Halfords rattle can clear with no issues.     I (mostly) jest.

    If you use Krylon Fusion paints it has an adhesion promoter mixed in so you shouldn't need to prime it. You will still need to key the surface to get best results though.

    Like Lozart said - the most important step is sanding with a semi-fine grit to break up the finish on the plastic before spraying. That said, I prime with their grey first as I've found I can prime then sand again to remove and slight bumps etc. before the coat.

    Thanks guys! I just got the standard black as OD was impossible to find, so bought can of krylon OD but didn't get primer so will get some, not sure if I'm going to replicate the OD version or just do multicam or something similar!

    Confused people said I could put in a tight bore into my TM Scar H most people said 6.02 or .03 but the stock barrel is 5.97 so its tighter anyway?!?

    Best bet with a TM is to keep it as is. These forums are full of people who try to improve their TM guns and they never shoot as well afterwards.

    Yea that's where I seen the figure, on the eagle6 website, I couldn't understand it at all! Im just putting in a new barrel and a M90OR 100 spring nothing more.

    M90 is the same rating as the stock spring, if you're changing anything put an M100 in and that's IT. The TM inner barrel is already really good, no need to change it.

    You should look around a bit more, got ESS V12s with the 3 lense pack for £20 surplus. Personally really happy with mine.

    Yea I seen them alot cheaper but I need them for sunday and the postage was the only one to be here on time. Are they comfortable on the bridge of your nose? Do they seal 100 percent around your face?

    The ESS have a full seal, remove the foam in the vents for better airflow though. They don't really touch the bridge of my nose though that will depends on each persons face.

    I have terrible luck, after two faulty scars, and lot's of trouble getting a rfund from the first the second company now doesn't want to send a replacement because they hear no rattle and the fact a part was missing can be replaced. That's not the point! I spent 500 quid, it should be PERFECT. If not a perfect one should then be sent.

    It's all right guys I got my replacement in the post with a bit of pushing and a lot of calls, I did look up what you had said about the recoil mechanism the only thing that made me think it was something else was it moved sooo much, like it rolled or slid for quite a distance, It sounded like the brass ring that should be in the hop up unit sliding down the barrel, but either way its gone and a new one is in the post, 3rd time lucky boys?     like he didnt want to be there, the other couldn't replace without permission so the manager was called in. They were NOTHING compared to FIRESUPPORT. These guys are paying for the postage and were civil! I won't even order bbs from them because of how they treated me and they are the only place I can find TM perfect hits in the UK.

    Think my aeg is being held by Customs? Tracking says National hub, arrived and processed all day and it's well over 24 hours since sent on 24hour postage.

    I know he spent two hours on it though I had never asked for it to be fixed, always had tried to pursue a replacement and ultimately in the end the avoidance of a replacement ended up me feeling a refund was the best option or safest.

    Well things worked out in the end, Firesupport have agreed to a full refund of the gun and the mag, not the postage however which legally they are bound to pay for BUT I will not look a gift horse in the mouth, take my loss and walk away.
