    you beast Geoff!!

kind of interesting day, my gun was firing 43m (paced it) with some accuracy but everybody was saying they couldn't feel it, found out it was firing between 130fps and 150fps. I guess power doesn't truly matter for range, but it does matter if you want them to feel it lol.

Its a custom build (assuming its Lola)

PTw cylinders don't go that low I believe. Even if you tried to you would have to chop a spring to pieces that would be too small to function.

airsoft is a very sensual hobby, you always want your opponent to feel it to the max ;)

unfortunately lola is currently being worked on ( :'( ), it's an ex rental ICS M4 which I banged a tightbore and regreased the gears, only guess on the low fps is that nozzle to barrel airseal is weak, other than that, no idea.

fortunately found one 20 miles away, in hastings, went for £350 instead of the £600+ I was expecting, "some assembly required" though lol

Been watching Stargate, absolutely love the proliferate use of blanks instead of CGI, found it a bit weird when Teal'c removed a P90 mag to check whether it was loaded lol

Lol. Watched every episode at the beggining of the year. Fantastic series. Halfway through Farscape at the moment :)

would 3mm width of acrylic be strong enough to stand a BB impact, I'll probably still wear some safety glasses underneath though

When evaluating eye protection, I always vote for doing it the way my old site did with their new stuff. Shotgun slug from five meters, if it cracks, don't use it. Little extreme, but you always felt very very safe buying something you knew could stand being molested in its naughty spot by a shotgun.

Fair shout there Finius, that'd definitely work!

I personally tend to stick with the listed rating, if it's not ANSI Z87.1 at least it aint going over my eyes.

Where's that comic strip of that cat which finally catches the laser dot?

possibly, not sure? it was 4 slides, 1st showed human eating a sandwich and a cat looking pissed, 2nd showed the cat putting something on the table, 3rd showed the laser dot, 4th showed the cat walking away.
