G&g Firehawk modification

So a friend wants me to do some modifications on his Firehawk (all cosmetic) anything to know before I agree to help? Weird proprietary fitments, incompatibilities, general face ache etc.?
He wants a longer inner barrel and new handguard on so nothing crazy for most brands of M4 but g&g have irritated me in the past

The front end on the original ones (like 2017 era G&G) were entirely proprietary, and incompatible with most modifications, even though it technically looked like it could take something else.
