TM HK417 Hand Guard

Ladies and Gents,

I’m a newbie on here so please play nice lol. I need some advice about a shortened hand guard for my TM HK417. 

Ive has to swap to playing with a DMR due to a number of injuries caused in service and although I like the gun, at 4.5KG’s it’s fair to say that it’s on the weighty side. 

I was interested to know if a shorter hand guard was available which would help with the weight or as an aside, whether anyone knew if the HK416 DEVGRU guard from TM would fit. 

Any advice would be much appreciated and thank you in advance.

416 handguard won't fit.  

I think the short handguard from a VFC can be made to fit though.

VFC short 417 hand guard is a straight swap. Got one on my TM 417 right now.
