Airsoft Experience

So you're making a blue fox tracker app basically?

Do you play airsoft yourself? ever played a milsim? battlesim? plinked in your garden?

You certainly can fail at airsoft, down to Squad level, just got to a Stirling themed game.

Your Gun and Loadout section on your profile are high end...yet you're questions dont back up someone whos played long enough to even need a 152. Unless its a dummy.

I must admit, i find it strange there isnt any photos of your kit or you playing.

Honestly, unless you are a troll and just want your post count going up. You need to get setup with people who play and have decent knowledge because your 'pipe dreams' will fail.

Jet's app is nice, as is Battle Tac and Battle Map, but it's just an app. It won't change the game, it can only enable the organiser to do a few things differently such as checking that people are actually going back to respawn, etc

For me, software is only the foundation.

Yeah, not for a while though. I should play more but I don't feel the draw.

Thanks, I'm currently getting my FRV belt all set up. The TRI 152 is nice, the TCA one is nicer. But this is what I really want.

I ask because although I feel I know the answer, I like to hear other opinions, even on the most basic of subjects. I did a poll for favourite roles a while back on one of the facebook groups and Medic smashed Sniper by a long shot, who knew! After that, I revised my medic player abilities, so in a milsim game injuries would be located to an area on your body and the medic would have to heal you accordingly with the tools at hand. So feedback is good.

Pictures of me playing, I have a few, nothing worth looking at. But I'll add a pic of my SCAR.

The Tac Light in on the other side, lol.

For those still wondering what exactly is battlesim.

https://legionairsoftevents.com/battlesim-events
Different to our battle sims up here then. Ours are a carefully planned event designed to drop the players in to a complex scenario against players who volunteer to play scripted roles. We have simulated airstrikes, armored vehicles and full contact vehicle pursuits. Its all pre planned and carefully coordinated but from the players perspective you feel like you are in the middle of a chaotic scene in an action movie haha. These can last anything from 4 hours to 24 depending on the event.

Mmm, which is why I asked.  It's not a big enough niche to be well defined.  Heck "milsim" means different things to different people.

Magazine limits is a reasonable idea, but I'd note that putting any limitations on play will put off some potential players.  We're not starting from an infinite pool.

A squad position display system, well, now that one I haven't heard before.  There's your USP.

I thought so for a long time, but anyone can do that. It will really help with the: what game are we playing, what’s the rules, is that guy over there on my team, who's winning, who won, when’s lunch, where’s the respawn mate?, hey Dave where are you?, etc

I know it will wind some people up, but as much as a game changer making all those questions go away is, still I believe there is a lot more to strive for.

The landscape itself is a feature to be crafted, moulded with carefully designed sightlines and positions of cover/concealment. Just call me Capability Seth ?

I have 8 clear parts to my project, so we’ve cover two now.

The RIF is a work of art, it will be so god-like you’ll need to be worthy just to pick it up.

Recoil, Sound, Battery-less tracer system, all the benefits of HPA without the tank and so much more, 13 individual upgrades including a Hop-up unit that gives you an edge(oooo, how Seth???).

Screw this messed up system with every RIF coming out of the East being almost identical, we need sites making them and reinvesting it back in the community.

Only then will you get the polished services you deserve, no offence but everything Airsoft-related seems to ran out the back of a shed.

I am already god-like so feel your rif will be unworthy.

As for what you have just claimed it will be let me give a really heartfelt "BULLSHIT".

I honestly don’t know why I do it, I’m not trolling I promise.

I kind of like the angle you are coming from, you do sound absolutely crackers the methodology in doing so but it is nice to see someone trying to raise the bar.

A good site doesn’t need bells, whistles and USPs though. Good game ideas with a good layout complimented by well organised and fair marshalling. Maybe decent food and toilets that don’t look like they’ve been through a 4 week festival.

People will repeat visit from good experiences, not because the app showed them what time lunch was or because the rental who shot them had the same bucking as them.

Free WiFi would be a mega start! All these sites in the middle of nowhere with no mobile signal need connectivity!

Whilst in theory all the gadgetry and lavish landscaping you're describing would be great, they would undoubtedly come with a greatly increased cost for the player. I don't think the average price elasticity of a days airsofting would allow a significant raise in the price of admission to cover without an exponentially larger decrease in the number of attendees, it just comes down to the demographics of players.

Thank you and you're right, the fundamentals are key. Good toilets are a given at most establishments.

Wifi haha! No. Give me that 60 GHz unlicensed waveband, ooo yeah.

The good experience is ultimately whatever the customer's fantasy is, so to be able to blend multiple types into one coherent sandbox should be a winner. Should.

However, I think to finance it is difficult without the USPs. Which leads me to...

Do you mean an increase in the number of attendees?

That is the plan, but, it's the mid-week doldrums that sites are not capitalising on. Not for players but other groups of individuals.

No. Generally when you put the price of something up, less of it is purchased.

If anything it will work out less, it just depends on the strategy of the team.

I was at an Angel Investment Network event last Thursday and the panel was discussing the difference between the UK and US approaches to investing.

The US will put money in for the long-term to acquire a customer base, whereas in the UK we want to see revenue asap.

If I were to take the US style it would be priced competitively, not requiring a profit margin, with a view to using economies of scale to then become profitable.

Did I explain that well?

Why don't you just stop chatting about what you're never going to do and come back when you even have some land. Let alone some HPA, Systems, TM love child.

But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

It's bullshit like that irritates people. But to feed the troll. If you're poor, forget your dream that won't happen and just play Airsoft.
