Public Liability Cover

It is, but that would apply if you were Airsofting on public land with the public around. The insurance would then be in case you hurt a member of the public.

Since you shouldn't be shooting on public land, you're covered instead by the Site's insurance.

Same way you don't need insurance if you go kart on a track (the track company covers it) but you do need insurance to drive on a public road.

If you were flying a drone purely on private land (i.e. Your land) and the land was clearly private you wouldn't normally need Public Liability insurance (though your house insurance may have some cover). Whereas you take your drone to the local park and crash it into a member of the public head your public liability insurance could cover that.

You would only require personal PLI if you were to be shooting on public land, and injured a member of the public, or damaged their property.

All airsoft sites will have business PLI which will cover all participants. The only reason you might possibly think about taking your own PLI is if you find some that will cover your teeth if they get shot out, as some site PLI policies won't cover this.

Good afternoon Guys,

Megil is correct with his comments with regards to the site usually covering their players under their public liability for injury to themselves or members of the public. If you want to cover yourself you will want to buy personal accident cover for injuries to yourself.

If you have any questions regarding insurance or a site set up feel free to contact me.

Cheers

Wow, this is some really high-brow advertising spam that we're getting these days.

That's fair and I agree, but then where does one draw the line? It's far more polite than most of the stuff we get but both probably have little place on here.

It is fair but because all insurance companies should burn in hell forever, I vote it's spam. 8)

to be fair, it is relevant to the thread and not in your face.
Except that there is no sign of their company existing anywhere on the web under that name. So take their comment with a pinch of salt.

I am covered for airsofting by the insurance I have for re-enactment.

http://www.ccc3.co.uk/

It covers a wide range of activities, hunting, shooting, re-enactment, fishing, Archery and airsoft is included on the list under shooting. 10 Mil public liability plus personal accident and legal expences cover. So it would probably cover the expenses involved in having a tooth damaged.

So I can sue you if you break me? Suing ensured people is easier after all.
