OK I know I'm getting pedantic now, but yes, there is. The US spec is posted higherup and the MoD certainly have certain types that are approved. While they don't necessarily have an MoD spec for it, to be approved it has to meet BS7271.

This stuff: http://www.britishtactical.com/hook-and-loop-tape/ is mostly MoD approved (the coyote stuff is US mil spec) and for sale in UK.
