My last pistol a WE 5.1 Hi-capa came though the post via royal mail and others guns too also had a SRC MP5 come though and had to pick up from local post office. This is from retail shops and not private sales. So I cant why royal mail not going post them, maybe a thing of what they dont know wont hurt them but I'm not a retailer so I not know. Try my hermmes as courier service ( sure if spelt correctly) hope this helpful
If you want it insured then you MUST send it via Royal Mail 24 hour signed for. You can send them via other carriers including parcelfarce, BUT it is against their T&C's so you will not be covered by any insurance for loss due to damage or lost parcel.

No parcelfarce is a seperate company and has no duty to carry. Royal mail have a duty to carry, but that may well be changing as they are trying to change their T&C's
There is a large petition from the gun trade association refuting each and every one of RM's concerns over safety
They used to have a part in the t&c that said that private sellers had to use special delivery as the way they are sent and trade customers could send them normally, but that seems to be missing at the moment.
