Okay, I have a fully stock G&G CM16 Raider-L and I was just wondering if an Element Max Speed Motor would run properly in my gun (e.g: Not stripping pistons or gears).
Also, would I need to upgrade wires or my 8.4v battery? I have heard of them not working not due to motor height or any of that stuff. My stock motor stopped working for some reason that I am not sure of so I am down to either the motor giving up or the connectors being broken. I am upgrading the motor to this one since I might as well buy a decent motor if it is being replaced.
Will it work in my gun?

I might as well tell you the situation with my gun since I am here. One day I went out into my garden to plink at some cans since the next skirmish wasn't until a couple weeks away and I wanted to use it since it was new. But anyways, it wasn't working when I went to fire it, well, it fired for about 6 shots (I could hear the motor whirring slowly, and firing slowly) until it gave up. This was on a fully charged, newish battery. I tried adjusting the motor height but to no avail, I don't want to open my gearbox since I would never be able to put it back together.
If the motor doesn't solve the problem should I send it to a technician?
EDIT: I could feel the pistol grip getting warm if I held the trigger too, in case that helps.
Thanks for reading my post,
Philip.
