too much weathering?

I have weathered the flash eliminator. I looked at my L85A2 and tried to reproduce the weather onto my airsoft M4. The L85A2 is genuine weathering from cleaning and so I hope the M4 looks genuine too.

Looks good but doesn't match the barrel so looks a little odd.

Depends on how it looks with the rest of the gun, but yeah the barrel seems too "new" now

I looked at the barrel of my L85 and to be honest it was fairly clean and scratch free. It was just the flash eliminator that was worn from cleaning carbon off

To me it looks like the barrel could do with some more towards the back and the sight base.

looks about right to me, it's easy to go over the top and weather a gun so much that it looks like it's been deliberately.
