what things you know now do you wish you knew about airsoft or about starting airsoft 

(for context i do a UK airsoft channel and am planing a guide to airsoft series and was hoping to find other topics to cover and tips to include) 

I do airsoft so i know the basics 

its just certain areas are new to me I've got aegs gbb pistols and recently I've started a dmr so would appreciate tips for dmrs as well but I'm mainly looking for the things that are learned from years of doing airsoft

yeah my start to airsoft wasn't cheap either i had brought and sold of quite a few guns before even going to the first match

We could try really hard to kill off every duplicate thread that ever starts, but I don't think that's necessarily very good for the longer-term health of a forum.   Better to forgive than forbid (or something along those lines... you get my gist I'm sure)

I've already got the basic stuff covered like using rental guns for your very first match and buying your first gun but there are still areas that i'm new to like i don't own any CO2 guns, lipos or support guns as from what I've found they're not straight forward as other things

so I'm not asking to be spoon fed I'm asking what others think to see if there's anything important that I've forgotten

and i started a new forum cause i thought mentioning that it was for a beginners guide would stop me having to scroll through loads of people all saying the same thing about how expensive it is

I think scrolling through pages of what people say on a subject, in academic terms, is called research. Maybe you should try it?

Some of us do understand your frustration getting info but to be honest there's too much to put in one thread.

It is necessary to search first then ask for particular subjects.  (Most questions have already been answered so a search is usually the fastest way to get an answer)

I have already searched and so far I’ve already covered those topics so I’m looking for any topics I’ve missed

There is a possible angle on the wording that you have given.

eg You have a YouTube channel, intend to run a guide to airsoft, but are an airsofter who is asking about elements of airsoft that you have little to no knowledge in with the plan to give that as a guide to others.

Asking on a forum about those areas could result in you giving a ‘guide’ based on second hand opinion.

However, if you were to say theme it as an airsoft journey then you can cover your time in airsoft, starting with your first rental, your own purchases.

Pros and cons of what you have etc, your subsequent games, what went well & less well.

There’s things I’ve learned from doing airsoft that if I knew in the beginning it would have saved me a lot of money 

I got introduced to airsoft through YouTube so I did all my research on YouTube however the beginner guides on YouTube are focused towards America and Austria there’s practically none for uk airsoft so I’m trying to make a series of videos to help people who like me get into airsoft through YouTube can get a decent guide into starting the hobby (and getting the first of more specialised replicas) that won’t cause them to waist money

I’m not trying to claim an expert opinion as in the video I’m going to mention that what said is from both personal experience and research so I’d be linking this form and any other sites that I show or reference 

as for my current knowledge I know that some sites offer rental kits though I’ve never used one as by the time of my first match I already had several replicas 

at the current point I have 9 aegs 3 spring shotguns  11 pistols mixed of gbb, gas and electric I’ve recently got a dmr (which I have zeroed) so still learning the ins and outs for those 

And I have several vest, tactical equipment and sights for the replicas 

so as for buying the common things I’m decently knowledgeable though for things like support guns and co2 powered I’ve no to little practical knowledge so would rather be treated as a noob in those areas 

but I’m also welcoming of any tips or tricks about the areas I do have knowledge 

im just trying to create a series of videos that go from getting ready for your first match all the way to buying and maintaining more specialised systems

If you are going to try to increase your channel's reach, you really need to improve the quality of your videos.  The videos that I have seen are not great quality and, in the case of your disassembly (or disassebly) videos, too dark and somewhat out of focus.

You do not come across with any sense that you are an authority on what you are talking about.

I’m not getting money from the videos so good camera equipment takes time to get especially when only you’ve only been a channel for one year so quality is going to be improving over time

The problem is that you are not going to get many followers with the current quality.  It is not just about the clarity of the footage; the presentation style needs to improve significantly.

Have a look at the Pheas Airsoft videos; he may not get everything right but even early his videos are well presented and interesting.
