Watches

The favourite part of my watch is the sapphire back which gives you a glimpse of the automatic workings, impossible to take a good picture of it without a proper camera and a macro lens unfortunately :(  looks beautiful in person.

Here's my daily driver, it's a bertucci A5-P with polycarbonate case, I love the simplicity of it because I can't stand watches with "busy" faces if that makes sense. The illumination is really bright which is good for when I'm on nights and I like the 4 o' clock bezel design as well, all in all for me it's perfect.

I was very close to become a watchmaker (and am now working as a clockmaker for a big London Museum).

Aside from a £15,- watch I use at airsoft, I have 3 watches, 2 from Argos that cost me £10,- and £15,- respectively and which I use to make sure all the clocks are on time, and a good mechanical watch I don't usually wear.

As I work with some very old and probably quite valuable clocks and watches on a daily basis, I don't really care about owning expensive watches, I'd love to own a Patek Philippe some day, but maybe after I've won the lottery (and then first stop myself from buying a better car and spending the rest on RIF'S)

I've got a pulsar spoon,I think that's what it is. Early LCD?

Nice watch but not very bright.

I only just found this thread.

An unusual collection from me, in chronological order:

From bottom to top as I'm still getting used to this site.

Firstly a Tag Heuer Edge prototype rebuilt by RLT, my dad got this for himself for £50 and decided it didnt suit him so he gave it to me and that was 16 years ago.

The dial, hands and strap are all custom that i had installed when i had the movement upgraded and crown restored last year.

Secondly is my hamilton ventura auto that i picked up as a promotion treat a few years ago, i love it and have never seen anyone else wearing one.

Next is my seiko sarb 017 alpanist which i actually managed to pick up for rrp by some miracle, the strap is made from old military parachute and rifle webbing.

Then we have my only digital a casio ga2100 which i got lucky on and picked up for rrp, the lume on it sucks but it looks cool.

And finally the watch in my display picture, the SKX 007 i made myself.

The dial is custom its made from solid meteorite with gold markings and super luminova,  the build was inspired by my 2 favorite watches a skx 007 and a black bay 58 and honestly i dont think it could have gone better.

I also wear it on a mesh bracelet which looks awesome!

Had a lovely omega sea master , got it back in 1997 for my 21st. However my delightful ex wife gave it to the bloke she was shagging whilst i was out in Afghanistan back in 09. Gutted as was gift from my grandparents and they died not long before i deployed.
Hope to get another but prices have shot up dramatically since i got that one

Feel ya pain fella.

When I separated from my first wife, back in the mists of time, she got rid of all my collectable stuff ☹

Hope you get another ?

Regards

My wife surprised me with this on my 30th. The only times it comes off my wrist is bed, bath and game day

In return, she’s got a little Longine now.

Sometimes, the Bond theme plays in my head when I check my wrist

Nah I think it's rabbit droppings. Do you let a rabbit run loose over the house?

??

My wife wants a second pet, we’re seriously considering a giant rabbit

I’m bracing myself for the poo

The Sea Dweller is a fcuking heavy monster (the genuine item)

I got rid of mine and replaced it with a GMT II Batman back in 2015

Probably the best decision and investment I ever made.
Which one? The 16610 is fine, the Deep Sea Seadweller is just silly, the SD43 is actually a nice, big watch
