Star Wars: The Clone Wars

It's been nearly 35 years but I'm almost over it ? What versions are those?  I had something called the Storm Trooper transporter were only ever on screen for a second in the original films.  I loved it.  Popped up in the The Mandalorian.  I've got the B-wing as well, I remember was so big and you could never stand it up right

Yeah that's one of the rarer toys the troop transport... I reckon for sure that would have been put in by one of the guys in the mando production unit who had the toy as a kid.

Looks like they are gonna re-release it too: https://forbiddenplanet.com/297404-star-wars-the-mandalorian-imperial-troop-transport/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw9ZzzBRCKARIsANwXaeKciQSp1GFRwVETMLrcqfb-_0OyvHdTtj9w0oosHlqtZb7DScM1d38aAgsNEALw_wcB

The ones in the pic are the SW micro machine action fleet, they were produced from the mid to late 90s for the re-releases, and then started up production again for the prequels in the early 2000s.

The one that got away so to speak was Slave I, might have to see if I can pick it up on eBay one of these days.

The old B-wing was massive yeah, probably 60cm long. As a kid I would reenact the hoth battle using the OG ATAT and the action fleet snow speeder, they were just the right scale for each other.

Haha, that's amazing! Although individual pockets/bins for each troop really isn't the most efficient use of space.

What did people think about the 'bad batch' arc - I really enjoyed it.. I liked the theme tune they gave the bad batch guys too.

Theres a great little remix of it with the resistance theme from the Ep7 TFA:

Watched the last two episodes of TCW last night - the final arc was great and gives some great perspective on what was going on whilst the events of Revenge of the Sith are playing out.

The light-sabre dual in episode 10 is actually one of coolest looking in all of star wars imo.

Been watching Rebels concurrently actually and while it is not as good as TCW, it has some great episodes and moments.

Some really interesting news about Star Wars recently – just the other day Taika Waititi was made director of a new upcoming film. But also some odd and disturbing news; one of the next series or films is being taken over by an ultra-zealot feminist. I really do hate the direction Kathleen Kennedy has been trying to take these projects in – I’m glad she had no control over TCW.

Even then, I’m cautiously optimistic for season two of the Mandalorian, the Obi-wan series, the Ahsoka series and whatever Taika is working on as he’s probably my favourite director to emerge into the spotlight in the last few years.

TCW S7E10 light-sabre dual - spoilers:

The finale last night made me want to go back and watch this scene from Rebels again - potentially a bit spoilery if you've not seen all of TCW or rebels...

May be abit late to reply but I’m currently doing a whole Clone Wars marathon on Disney+ before I watch the final season.

Seen the Clone Wars so many times but it’s nice to watch it all through again, I’m currently re watching season 4 so hopefully I get to the final season too.
Anyone know what The Mandalorian is like?

It has some good things about it, some not so good.  Check out the Critical Drinker, he pretty much summed up the experience for me.

As @AlphaBear and @Musica said, the Mandolorian was pretty awesome - great blend of nostalgia and something new in the SW universe.

My core complaint is the episode runtime in the first season being rather short, resulting in a few episodes feeling a bit rushed - I'm hoping following the success of the first season they will assign a budget and production capacity that would allow season 2 episodes to be a bit longer, fleshed out and therefore have the ability to more effectively character build.

Rumor has has it we may see certain clone wars characters who have never been seen in live action before appear in the second season - cant wait to see if this is the case, apparently Temuera Morrison has been cast, potentially to play more than one character. ?

Didn't know whether to start a new thread or not - but this one seems fitting enough to start off the discussion on Mando Season 2.

Just finished watching episode 1 - I thought it was pretty awesome!

I've literally wondered all my life about what that giant dinosaur skeleton on the sand dunes in a new hope could be - life long question answered!  :D

Excited about the reveal at the end of the episode too!

@Zarrin I thought Mando was set after the “new hope” in fact after “return” since they was talking about after the 2nd Death Star had blown up, so I wonder who killed who/what created the Dino bones you saw in new hope ?

One would think there was and had been more than one on the planet ?

Is it summat to do wiv starwars?
Well done , see your not as thick as you look ? ?

Yeah the Mando is based 5 years after ROJ if i'm not mistaken.

As @Druid799 says though it was defo a different Krayt dragon... the one Mando slayed was probably over 10 times the size of that one out in the sand dunes in new hope.

A left over prop from a Disney film, used by a SciFi film, which ends up bought up by Disney
Hah! whata ya know!  I suppose ultimately we have one of our dinosaurs missing to thank for last night's episode then  :D

I remember channel flipping one weekend when I was a youngster back in the 90s, and coming across 'one of our dinosaurs is missing' - expecting something closer to Jurassic Park, I remember being pretty disappointed ?
