Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

I know for me that at one time buying and building was more fun than actually playing, so maybe that's the same for him. I wouldn't trust anyone to have done it correctly though.

Except he didn't build it. He payed a tech with a bad reputation to do it for him. If it's been used so little and is being sold at such a loss I can only assume it's fucked and whatever work has been done to the gearbox is going to need to be undone alone with a few replacement parts, most likely the piston. The mags and batteries included also tell me this was built for skirmishing.

Though I imagine the reason is that the seller isn't comfortable doing tech work (assembly or disassembly) sales like this always baffle me slightly. In my experience 9/10 times you'll get more selling each part as an individual part. There is already a list breaking down each part, so the bulk of the annoying work of breaking down a RIF to sell as parts is done. So, if you're reading this Mr 5777 maybe have a think about taking this route.

Right now your just as likely to spend £150 on a new similar looking cyma that will perform better & probably outlast his overpriced "box of bits".

If the story is to be believed, that's a shocking hit to take on what he allegedly paid ?

All this aside, I can celebrate having finally got a legit Ad on Mack's!  Now if only he would come into the discussion steaming mad it would be perfect :)

in fairness cyma's and jg's have a habit of punching above their price bracket in terms of performance these days.

don't take much if anything to make some real good shooters out of em.

Has no one brought this one up? From £700 for a pistol with no hop chamber, barrel or bucking to £350 for half a pistol. Not saying you could build it yourself for less, just that it goes to show that no matter how much you put in to a build, there's a maximum value when selling them on.

Fair enough, I must've missed that.

Oh man.  Poor guy not knowing WA was Western Arms.  I mean, it had seen better days sure but still a good deal.

The Classic cut and paste description. £35 new, but this is one is £15 more because it has a couple of cans of gas that you can’t post, and some shitty bb’s ??
Hi there, new member but a long time lurker. I actually signed up here because this for sale ad stirred me to action. I bought one of these brand new recently for 30 quid to see how I got on with it at my local CQB arena in preparation for investing in some good GBB pistols. To be honest it wasn't a bad experience [apart from the gash trigger], got several kills with it and I'm now moving away from AEG rifles and going GBB pistol primary.

But fuck me, this is so overpriced I think it might have given me pancreatic cancer. How does anyone believe a god awful cheapy second hand pistol became worth 50 quid because it's supplied with some gas and a tub 'o' cheapy BBs?

Minds you, if someone is new to the hobby and takes a look at the classified sections of airsoft forums and sites like Prefired in general, they may believe that having a few BB's and a partially used can of gas means their used airsoft gun is somehow worth more than it was new. Not to mention a couple of leaking gas mags, because everyone knows that leaking gas mags supplied with a gun means that the price jumps by the same amount you would pay for a brand new non leaking gas mag from a retailer per leaking gas mag supplied.

Bearing that in mind, I'm going to advertise one of my 20yr old motorcycles for more than it cost new due to it having a full tank of fuel and new brake pads.

Absolute fucking deal. You'd be mad not to buy it.

Well, tbf, m8, they're an easy fix, but tbh, m8, I just don't have the time.

New rubber bands?

The "easy fix" thing is one that always gets me. If it's such an easy fix then why not do it yourself and get a better price?

Because we all know it's just an excuse to sell a non working RIF or accessory and claim "Well I was told that's all that was needed to get it sorted "
