Absolutely this.Sounds like money laundering to me!
that was exactly the thought that just went through my head... dodgey is an understatement... it pretty much reeksSounds like money laundering to me!
actually you're right. I didn't spot that, I still don't understand why they have done that though...That's a retailer. Probably some joke they have going on their FB page or something.
100% this , I think ‘niche’ market sums your 42 up perfectly ? Don’t know about you lot but the sites I play it appears it’s only the ‘modern influence’ players running HPA , Evo’s/racing M4’s/etc so not the kind of players who’d want a WW2 support gun ?indeed, it's a tricky one, end of the day something's only worth what someone's willing to pay for it.
like my mg42 conversion, to comission a tech to do that would cost a lot given what's been done, but at the end of the day it's now a very specialised bit of kit that unless you really want that particular use case it's pretty much worthless.

Spot on bud . ?very niche, although even more so as an hpa given that's going to ruin any interest from the re-enactors market. funny my logic was i wanted a ww2 gun and the mp40/stg didn't do it for me which left the k98 (and getting outgunned) or the 42 which i reckoned the 42 was modern enough to still be relevant (given it's lineage is still in service).
that said we had a showing yesterday from a ww2 russian commissar running a very nice ebb ppsh41, so there are folk out there willing to take on something different.
of course i'll openly admit if i want to actually be effective i'd still pick up the m4 over anything else, but then you can't play too seriously in this game.
Spot on bud . ?
mind I wouldn’t say no to your 42 ! ?

Both look VERY similar ??
When you first posted it I also thought “as if !” But then i had one of those ‘niggling’ feelings in the back of the melon that I’d seen one somewhere ,I stand corrected, just looks off and I can’t place why
edit: it’s tan so in my book it’s already not worth the price
It’s a crye 1.0, only way of telling these are legit are the little size tags; which this one has.
@clumpyedge the crye JPC 2.0 has the little crye black label on the left side, not the 1.0.
