zombie apocalypse.....would your gun do the job!?

So here I am.... A bit pissed but I was wondering,if a zombie apocalypse happend would it be woth shooting the scabby twats with your airsoft rifle,pistol,grenade?

I reckon if they've been dead for a while (should be able to tell by the stench) then the putrid flesh would be easy to penetrate....especially if you can put a few through the eye socket!

oops gotta go....time to close the cell door and take my pills!!!

I think you'd do more damage by smashing their knee caps with it to be honest, it'll slow them down that's for sure. If you do that, leave one left alive and you'll have time to re-build your barriers and pack-a-punch with little risk.

Walking dead... You see some of the characters simply push a slightly point bit of wood straight through a zombie's skull like it's made of cardboard...

Mine would be quite good, but it only manages 3 rounds per minute, and requires quite a bit of prep time to make the cartridges up in advance.

Personally, Id put the airsoft rifle down, head to my gun cabinet and pull out the .22 instead. would have better chance.

I have no idea whether a BB in the brain would actually stop a zombie, but you have to imagine that 20-30 might. There'd be precious little to laugh at in a real zombie apocalypse so I expect I'd have a go. My sword in one hand and bill hook in the other FTW...

If you got them in the eyes how would they know where you are because they can't see, and if they don't need their eyes to see how do they know where you are? Smell?

as said it depends on the zombies the senario is based on, some thories of eyes being pale because of decay means reduced vision etc so they use a mix of senses. and that generally a zombie itself is not a threat its the injuries that cause the infection to spread and zombie hordes that are the real threat, and if theres alot of zombies good luck shooting them all in the eyes(if it even works at said point. if theres only one /2 the thory is melee weapons ftw, if theres lots run...(use guns to clear escape paths/ rescue) but as said depends on the zombie base...

Walking Dead style, been rotting for a few months, you'd probably have a fair chance against them. Though, not as fair a chance as you might get from, say... A hammer. Or really, anything else.

I'd keep my GBB pistol but to scar off other people not zombies. I have a sharpened samurai sword so would use that and a bat to get to my dads and then he has ALOT of shot guns and rifles of various power! I'd prob then opt for the 44 winchester rifle. Dam accurate and packs a hell of a punch!

I love how when these topics come up everyone owns a sword and, having swung it around in their house, assumes they know how to use it.

Using any sword, especially those requiring very specialised technique like a katana, is not easy.
