I'm looking for a chrono, but I have literally no idea what's good and what's bad.

Looking for one that will come set up/calibrated already, as I have nothing to calibrate it against until I next skirmish, and I'll need it before then.

Finally, one that's cheap, cheaper the better, as long as it's not going to fall apart in my hand.

So, any suggestions on which one to get and where from?

X-cortec or soemthingorother

around £60

china.

simple as that really, we've never had success with the madbul chrono's at PB.

Because thats firesupport.they charge more for most things,a friend had a madbull and it was awful, very inacurate and battery life didnt last long

I won't get MadBull then.. are Airsoft Club reliable? I have quite a few things to order actually.

Me neither.. I just clicked first few links on Google after searching for a chrono. It's in £, but when I'm browsing the site it's in $..

What's best cheap chrono from an English website?

Airsoft Club are alright, I think they're a HK based site that sell through eBay. Mad shipping times but they've always been alright when I've used them.

Have a browse though the relevant section, I'm sure there's a thread or two on them.

The X3200 is pretty much the only chrono to go for. As mentioned the madbull is dodgy as hell and the other ACM one you'll see knocking around (it's a weird sort of oval cylinder shape) is even worse, I bought one and it never ever worked, my xcortech is great though, very accurate.

I've just got one of these from EhobbyAsia (http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/ufc-pro-chronograph-black-uk-230-240v.html). Cheap enough and it works well, battery life seems good and you can set it to check at about six different BB weights. Not sure the ROF bit is that good but the FPS figures are close to those I get on site chrono's, so it's fairly accurate. It comes with a UK spec three pin charger as well, not the two pin type you get with some overseas power packs.

As for EhobbyAsia, I've spent a load with them and never had any real problems, although don't bother using the express carriage option as unless you're after something very small and cheap it can get held up in Customs for a week or so, something I won't do again.

Oh and as for Airsoft Club, they're legit and can be quite good value for a lot of their stock, although shipping can take a while if you can afford to wait for it.

I stayed silent for the last couple but it seems that every week someone asks the same question.

I haven't made a topic about Airsoft Club, and if I did, it would be a joke.
