Hard to imagine why a site where you pay to be fodder getting shot in spawn by an overpowered gun, while being filmed and called a f*ggot on the largest YouTube channel for your hobby, would struggle to keep regular player numbers during a recession.

On another note, KM is pretty good proof that the whole, "if you have a toy gun that shoots more than 2.5J in the UK the police will literally kill you," is false. That fucker has video proof of running overpowered guns and he's never even had a slap on the wrist.

Thats the real danger, i dont care if one guy wants to be an asshole on the internet, but i do care when his devotees show up pulling that shit on regular sites and thinking its acceptable.

I'm not a huge KM hater, but this is also my biggest criticism of him. Regardless of however he conducts himself or how he plays in person (I've never met him or played against or with him), his videos put out ideas that to be a good ghillie sniper, you need to go for headshots and that you should camp respawns for kills, and then ridicule people for being upset by it. I've stepped back heavily from wearing my ghillie because I've seen far too many ghillie snipers emulating these behaviours at sites I've attended, and I don't want to be associated with them and this behaviour/playstyle.

Also, his assertion that headshots are the gold standard for sniping is woefully inaccurate. Real world snipers tend to go for body shots where possible, because you're a lot less likely to miss those shots (heads tend to move a lot more and a lot more suddenly/erratically than a torso does), and the calibres they're slinging don't really care about your body armour.

Plus, that's only in the situations where they actually shoot; most sniping in the real world is stealth and observation.

This is the thing, you should go for centre of mass of what you can see. Especially in airsoft where our gold standard of accuracy isnt that good its just logical to maximise the chance of hitting.

Now that does mean if all you can see is their head, then yes the headshot is the only option and that is the game. Likewise just because you shoot for the chest doesnt mean the round wont hit the head, thats also just the game. Or maybe they move and the stomach shot you fired lands on the face, thats just the game. Point is you're objective is to get the hit and move on.

The issue is the idea that it's some sort of flex to go for the head when you don't need to, the intent to inflict pain and acting like people disliking pain is some form of character flaw rather than the hardwired result of millions of years of evolution.

Then folk start thinking thats ok, normal, and you end up with toxic acolytes and folk calling it on the hobby because they dont want to play in that environment (hi, i'm one of those folk)
