Could someone recomend a metal top slide for tokyo marui m45a1 and stifer recoil spring

just don't you'll make it perform worse. it will cycle slower due to weight and the additional force required to over come a stiffer spring.

a stiffer spring isnt going to increase cycle time

It requires more force to compress a stiffer spring so unless you up the pressure it will slow the the gun cycle rate. Anyway point being with out using a higher pressure gas a metal slide will reduce performance and using a higher pressure gas will run a greater risk of the gun breaking.

If the OP wants a metal slide Guarder is the cheapest you should go and no after market metal slides, even the high end stuff is drop in. They all require  modification to fit right.

The only good metal 1911's are CO2. Which you obviously wouldn't want to use on a TM base gun.

And the only good CO2 1911s are KWCs. They are howeve prone to leak (CO2 in general) can be hot depending on time of year and how new the bulb is.

Advice taken leave it alone just wanted something a wee bit more realistic thank's for the advice

If you watch a few negative airsoft vids on pistols he likes to fit metal kits on to TM 1911s and he states you don't need to upgrade parts to get them to cycle fine it will just cost performance so is the feel and weight worth the trade off for you?

only just seen your reply, all it would do is slightly up gas consumption no? not slow down actual cyclic rate.

in theory you are right, but in practise with out upping the pressure significantly it will use more gas and be slower to cycle. you also have a greater cool down effect as well which contributes to slower cycle rates.
