RIF trade question

A nice simple one for you guys.

If i were in a theoretical situation to obtain an RIF through a trade would I be legally required to two tone it? (I am not registered with UKARA). Would it be against the law to obtain one through a trade in this way?

you CAN be gifted one, but as a trade, It counts as payment.
