This is probably a bit different from usual threads because usually questions are regarding getting AEG's into the UK.
Long story short;
I gamed for years in the UK but now I live in New Zealand. I left all my gear with my Dad with the intention that he could post it out to me when I got myself sorted over here. Now that I am settled and have joined a club in Dunedin I thought it about time I had some of my old gear.
Now you should be aware NZ laws state that all AEG's cannot fire fully automatically, so to start off with I thought I would just get the Maruzen Type 96 posted over here. Bolt action springer right, so what could be the problem I thought.
So got on the phone and asked Dad to send it to me. Cost him just over £100 and then a week later it got returned to his house with a note on it saying "Cannot fly"
So whats the deal? All my guns have previously come from overseas on planes so why can't I send my own stuff around the world?
If there is some legal BS around this then theres going to be some guns for sale on these forums soon....
Thanks for any knowledge/insight
