Petition: Stop Clause 81 of the police and crime bill being passed as law

How about some details of what this petition is, maybe in the subject, and a description here. I am not going to just click on a random, no information link. Ban what, dog grooming, stepping on cracks in the pavement or wearing loud coloured shirts in a built up area?

 
Airsoft going to need your help please all pass this around and sign up

It limits all future fire arms consultation to the police only...so all they have to do is say ban it and thats it.

Please help spread the love of airsoft it will affect every one in these groups

I wouldn't bother the author couldn't even spell the Bill correct. Section 81 is not the section relating specifically to airsoft.

Its rather irrelevant if section 77 bans the sport anyway.....

The author of the petition is not identified and the proofreading is terrible. Don't want to sign the petition and then have it presented to parliament by the head of the British League of White Shooters.

Have they even consulted a lawyer on section 81? It's not even clear that this section means exactly what the petition says it means, it looks to be more about enforcement autonomy than writing rules.

Jesus christ just trying to share a petition to help us all out not have it analysed by an English teacher. If you don't want to sign it don't.

A mismanaged petition is a huge waste, why are you so bothered? No one is insulting you.

The point is that nobody in any position to have an effect on the legislation being ratified will take any notice of any petition that poorly worded and doesn't actually reference the correct part of the bill.

I applaud your sentiment but if we're going to sign something it should be correct.

That section appears to be on enforcement, doesn't appear to give the police those powers. Besides, we're getting an airsoft exemption if section 77 works correctly, so what's the problem? :P

 
Airsoft exemption? I hope they actually use their brains on this one.
