My Views on Airsoft Changed

Up until quite recently i didn’t really have any interest and thought Airsoft was just silly fake shitty Chinese toys.

This was further backed up by the Airsoft weapons we have at work in my armoury - a L96 and a SA80 that are both utter pieces of utter cheap rubbish.

But then i saw some nice Umarex pieces and my opinion totally changed.

Now whilst I’m still to do a actual day of airsofting I’m chomping at the bit to get going - as are both my boys but only one is old enough at moment.

Luckily i don’t have to fork out on much gear as got mountains of kit after a long career in the infantry.
Anyway hope to see some of you guys at a local event.

My father was a fire fighter

i got to slide down the pole & sound the siren in the fire engine

your photos blow my memories back into a shite reality ??

your boy will remember this all his days, cool stuff

My father was a stone Mason and he taught me to cut and dress quarried stone for coins(corner blocks) I still love the smell of hand worked purbeck stone.

Would rather have had a fuckin' gun though!

I hope that ‘your armoury’ refers to ‘your armoury at work’ and not ‘your armoury in the garage containing the mountains of bangy ‘kit’ acquired via years in the infantry

....... and on another tack .......

My dad used to keep back the Russian hordes with nuclear missiles but wouldn’t let me play with them.

In later years I would be given loads of old kit by the QMs etc when hanging around the offices and warehouses.

He’s the one bulling his boots and my mothers the one holding the front bumper of one of their missile launchers.View attachment 73496

I wish it was my back yard. 
Had some awesome kit in there - browning HMG’s , GPMG , M249 , GMG and some serious kit he UKSF fetch down when conducting ops from our camp.

Think my little un has become obsessed - he asked me to give him a lesson on pairs fire and manoeuvre earlier and now he is in the woods at the back of the house practicing his patrol skills
