I played at the Reading Mall fir the second time today. This time I'd bought some comms to keep in touch with friends. But what I didn't do was spend a fortune on the gear.

The essential Baofeng UV-5R radio

A Sundely/Nagoya whip antenna

Coodio motorcycle PTT headset

Condor radio pouch

I didn't want to go down the helmet, headsets etc. Too big and clunky. So wanted to go cheap and functional.

So I hacked the mic of the headset a bit and re-soldered the  wires back on after I snapped them off. Green = positive ;)  I then sewed the headset onto my One Tigris foldable mask. and used double sided tap to position the mic. I still need to tidy that up a bit. But it worked like a charm. Bit of cohesive camo tape to hold the headsets in place and then route the wiring and push to talk through my molle vest.

I'm quite please with it.
