First real post, but here's my review of the Matrix SR-15 URX.

Gun Name and maker: SR-15 URX by Matrix (JG OEM)

FPS:

Marked online at "330~400", but settled in right around 350 for me. Works fine with a mid-high quality .20g round.

Hop up:

Standard V2 hop. Works fine and can send a round pretty straight. Unique is the locking charging handle and working bolt release, which make hop adjustment easier.

Mag Capacity:

Accepts any TM compatible mags, but doesn't seem to like Magpul PMags too much (they come loose with a little force). Comes with a standard 300rd metal STANAG magazine.

Battery:

Didn't come with one, but a regular 9.6v butterfly fits great in the crane stock that comes on the gun. Judging by the noise the gun makes when firing out of the box, I wouldn't recommend using a LiPo with out at least a reshim/regrease/AoE correction.

Plastic/Metal/Both:

The gun is made entirely of metal, aside from the crane stock and motor grip. The grip appears to be injection molded plastic, as does the stock. The grip fells good, but I've definitely seen better quality crane stocks. This one feels a little flimsy and needed e-tape shimming to fit properly. The butt plate broke one of its clips and had to be replaced as well. One of the pieces of the ambidextrous selector switch also seems to be plastic, but has come loose and is quite annoying.

My opinion and overall comments:

This gun is, internally speaking, a nice gun. It can put a BB on target at a pretty good range and it's fairly reliable. Unfortunately, the gun leaves a lot to be desired externally. While the rails and receiver are nice, out of the box, within a week, the stock fell off, the bolt catch broke, and the barrel bent a bit while pulling the flash hider off. Within another week the fire selector, safety, and mag catch broke or acted up. While most of the problems are relatively minor and easily fixed, for the price you can buy a guy the performs the same but has much better external quality.

Overall rating:

6.5/10
