Mancraft Reg on a Tanaka Problem

Evening! Right I have a Tanaka M40A1 and a Mancraft Co2 reg. (AA 28rd mag Tapped) I'm having real inconsistencies with FPS. I normally use HPA so I'm used to ultra consistent shots however with this is just not useable! The best I can do is set it for 300 fps with a .45 (33fps under the JC limit) as the CO2 seems to spike to the max fps, sometimes a bit over! Anyone have any experience with this kind of thing?

I can't. The reg and CO2 adapter sit sideways

You could be putting CO2 in liquid form into the reg which could ruin performance

Right... I'm not sure how to sort that then. It's a Mancraft Reg using threadless Co2 Bulbs.

Edit, I've also now tried my HPA kit and it's still really inconsistent. The Tanaka short mag seems to be ok (ish). Very hard to set an fps

How are the mags tapped? You using 1/8th npt?

A friend did it but he used a 1/8th BSP fitting to get the 4mm line fitting

Any way of telling? It's a proper milled tap with a neat elbow connector

Could try a wider bore hose or a longer hose
