As a few of you may be aware my gears got stripped shortly after I purchased it and I haven't really touched on it since. I figured it's about time I manned up and had a nosey at the insides and I've gotten so far but have hit a little snag whilst disassembling my AK.

There's this metal plate that sits below the hopup that prevents me from removing it. I also seem to have an issue with the cap on the side of the selector switch - not matter how much I pry or twist it doesn't seem to budge.

I've been following guides for similar models of LCT AKs but can't seem to find any for this model and there are slight differences. Any suggestions?

Tried to get a few pics to better represent my issue.

That’s the magwell spacer. Think the hop etc comes out of the top of the receiver, not through the bottom.

Search on you tube for magwell spacer install/removal, shows how to get it all out.

Yep magwell spacer.  Not sure how its secured as I don't have one in mine.  Can confirm the hop is removed backwards and upwards.  Re the selector switch, move it all the way up to safe hold it there then use a pair of pliers to grip the screw and turn it - will take some force but haven't heard of it being an especial issue before.

2 tangs spring out when you push it into the receiver. Well worth having, can change mags with my eyes closed now rather than having to fiddle about and worry about snapping the feed tube off the hop!

I use airsoft AKs pretty much exclusively so never really had an issue with it..muscle memory and all that :)

Thanks guys. That magwell spacer was a tough son of a bitch. Took me an hour to figure out how to remove it even with a video.

There is a fast way of removing the magwell spacer.

Not sure if it is recommended.

Sooner or later I imagine those tabs would break.
