Bought my RPK a while back. Didn’t know it was ebb at point of purchase I just wanted to try a support platform after a good amount of time rocking my mk18 M4 aeg.
So after running it for a number of events, the bipod broke and I wanted to increase it’s versatility.
Due to the barrel length the front loaded weight a foregrip feels necessary.
That led to the next problem, how can I attach a foregrip to a wooden hand guard.
After hours and days of research I pulled the trigger on a LCT tx-01 metal handguard.
Due to the nature of the JG fittings the LCT has a barrel clamp which allows for easy fitment in my untested circumstances.
All in all the fitment was great. I chose to keep the wooden upper hand guard to keep some of the original look and vibe.
It looks pretty good for the change.
So this it the first iteration of its mods. Not sure if I’ll do much more now. Pretty happy with it. The handling is much greater improved for the foregrip.
