ics l85 questions

hi guys. i have recently purchased an ics l85. i have a couple of questions,

1: the outer barrel seems to pull off quite easily, does it have to click in or is it fixed by another method?

2: i notice that on the website it states that you can have 3 fps setting, how do you change them? i went to a skirmish on sunday and the gun was putting out 360 fps and it's bog standard.

I don't really understand what you mean when you say the outer barrel pulls off easily... So, you have the gun together and you can just pull the outer barrel out?

It doesn't make any sense.
