hey guys. i recently bought a hk px4 from a friend. tested it today and im baffled. the slide locks back when pulled back with an empty mag in. yet when firing and finishing a mag it wont lock back. any ideas.

It's the weather.

pulling it fully cycles it so the lock can go on.

firing it in the cold means it won't cycle the full way (especially after firing a full mag) and simply doesn't travel far enough back to lock out.

point the pistol at the floor and fire and it usually locks it.

i had my suspisions it was because cold but thought id ask anyway. cheers mate
