Help please - Fitting Kublai collapsible stock to AR15/M4 (Wolverine MTW)

Hello there!

I'm having issues working out how to attach the buffer tube supplied with the Kublai stock (https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/kublai-collapsible-battle-stock-for-aeg-ar15-m4-sr25?pv=11190) to my Wolverine MTW. The stock buffer tube and castle nut etc have been removed, leaving the following:

I am trying to attach it but it's almost like I'm missing a male-to-male thread, unless I'm being thick? Help appreciated

That looks like some some of weird AEG mount, is that the normal tube in the background?

It is yes, that's the stock buffer tube which is real steel, I think you're right RE this new stock it's got some weird plug and play fitting.
