Harris style bipods on L96 guns. Rubber Spacer

I bought a WELL L96 recently (second hand) and it came with a harris style bipod.
Anyway, it wont sit properly, it moves and twists on the stock because the stock is flattened and the harris bipod is contoured to fit around a thin rounded wooden stock.
I've seen rubber spacers over in america but I cant find anywhere in the UK that flogs them, I've seen a few adapters to change the angle, just not what I need.

Has anybody else had this issue and how did you fix it?

I had the twisting issue, and to 'fix' it, I tightened it and it stayed still. Apart from after a couple days out, the lug on the bottom of the gun snapped off.

Balls to it, I just bought a different bi-pod in the end.
