Gold outer barrels

I am interested in gold outer barrels for pistols, but I have heard the finish on them is more fragile than it is with other colours.

I don't know if it makes any difference whether the barrel has been or anodised.

But I've heard that even the gold barrel on the very expensive Detonator kit for the HK45 wears off quickly.

Is this true?

Does anybody have any experience of Airsoft Masterpiece gold outer barrels for hi capas?

I have an airsoft masterpiece golden outer barrel on my g19 Salient arms.

And yes it does wear down to the silver metal beneath from slide grind. It's just how it is and it is upsetting.

It's almost impossible to prevent, however it is just over the ejection port site.

I know its not the answer you want to hear.

But it's worth it, it hasn't put me off

Anytime, definitely get a goldie don't let the wear put you off happens to them all
