I'm swapping out my G&P m16 receiver, but the barrel nut on the original upper won't come off. I am using an ar15 wrench, and tried stacking desks as a makeshift clamp, and as a result, the old upper is bent and broken beyond repair (I don't mind) is there any way to force the barrel nut out, even if it could cause damage to the upper?
