G&G cm16 raider help needed.

So I finally got the front sight off the raider without breaking anything (and no blood, bonus!) so can any point me in the right direction for sourcing a new outer barrel that has a flip sigh that will fit? Or even an outer barrel with no front sight and I can go red dot? Or do I need a whole new barrel assembly?

ok they are plastic but if they don't wobble too much they will do ok,

gun is hardly all metal and doubt if your range is really gonna require ultra pin point accuracy

yes but up unitl a week or two ago I thought it was held on there like most "proper M4's"

but it is cast or welded on so gotta be cut off

now there are mounts that could clamp on outer barrel and fit a stubby removable sight

but likely you will fit just the usual flip ones if fitting a scope or something else on there

Shame its welded on there coz was hoping to remove sight at front and fit a folding M4 sight on there

you got long or short Raider coz not sure exactly how that fits on the present barrel

that is the sort of front sight on GC16 30th - easy to detach

I was thinking if not mounting flip sights on raider's top rail then perhaps these:

then add flip or detachable front sight as needed

only thing - not sure if any of those mini rail mounts are maybe too high for detachable sight

and most likely way too low for flip sight

Mines a short so those mounts won't fit mine. I just want to ditch the fixed and add flip sights to the rails.

then just a cheapo plastic/polymer pair on top rail will suffice

I mean it is just a CM plastic toy gun at end of day

slap on a scopey thingy and all that but don't spend loads n loads tbh

remove rear sight - fit cheapo ones as long as they ain't too wobbly and be done with it

That's true but I still need to replace the current barrel with the fixed sight. I'm happy to have a removable one like the one I linked before

Think I will keep raider as is for now

if a GC16 front end comes up a cheap price but no biggy if not

its got the rails but tbh I mainly keep my stuff stock externally atm

Im actually tempted to get something like a b500a1 and rebuild the internals with high end parts. Would be funny to see peoples face when you out shoot there gucci guns with a justbbguns special.

but start on something else I come across when I look into spares box or whilst browsing for bits

and so it sets off a chain reaction of guns in bits and stages of tweaks/rebuilds

Thats exactly why I build one at a time and why I have ordered a Krytac for my backup. Theres nothing to do to it. I rewired two for someone and they wanted to know what internal upgrades I would recommend and fit and after taking it to bits and shooting it theres honestly nothing other than rewire and change to deans. Best stock gun internals I have ever seen.
